About DAYE HARD
Hunter’s tall fractional rig is engineered for strength, stability, and ease of handling. By combining swept-back spreaders, reverse diagonals, and mast support struts, the design reduces weight aloft, eliminates the need for a backstay, and increases overall stability, providing excellent performance and versatility across a wide range of wind and sea conditions.
The deck layout presents an integrated arch that keeps the cockpit safe from swinging mainsheets while also offering sun protection and the option for a bimini. A fold-down table and full engine instrumentation completes the helm station. A walk-through transom with swim platform, shower, and folding ladder makes boarding, swimming, and tender access effortless.
Below deck, comfort is a priority. Two large private staterooms (a new mattress for the aft cabin on it's way) a spacious head with shower, a salon that seats eight, and a well-appointed galley provide all the amenities needed for extended cruising. From rich fabrics to quality hardware, the interior is both attractive and highly functional.
Hunter Marine, founded in 1973, has built a reputation for delivering affordable, performance-oriented cruisers. Inspired by chairman Warren Luhrs’ extensive ocean racing experience, Hunter adapted the proven B&R rig from record-setting offshore racers to its production fleet. The result is a line of keelboats that blend performance, innovation, and comfort - making them the backbone of the Hunter brand and a favorite among cruising sailors worldwide.
